Our Story

As a family, for a while, we were unaware of the value of the craft of making soaps of our predecessors. I found out my grandmother used to make soaps by-hand from animal fat and tallow. Then my mother picked up the skill.I remember I started using a soap my mother made a few years ago. Even after many years, the soap was still usable even though it had no fragrance or herbal supplements. We were using the soap for many things and the whole family had a healthy and beautiful skin. I had no intention back then to produce soaps.

But then, we faced a serious problem regarding our children’s skin. While using commercial soaps, rash and read spots started to appear on their skin. Believe me, it was the result of aggressive personal hygiene products that were declared to be baby-friendly, but were actually full of chemicals.

That is why I decided to research how soaps can be made with a beautiful scent and color, without being as detergent as industrial soaps. I visited several specialized training for preparation of natural soaps and natural cosmetics. When I got the knowledge, I prepared several soaps and after a while I got an incredible support from my family, relatives and friends to start the Danini brand; a brand of which we are very proud of.

I am aware of the dynamic life style and the fight for better life. We regularly forget that our health the health of our children is a priority. Good nutrition means good health. But it is also important on how you take care of your body hygiene. It should by an everyday task, because it is about the largest human body pat - THE SKIN.

Therefore, I decided to bind knowledge, health and natural colors, herbs and senses from our beautiful Macedonia.

In chemistry class in school we learned that the soaps were a mixture of natural and animal fat and oils with powerful alkane solution. The fats and oils have triglycines, three molecules of the fat acids attached to one glycerol molecule.

In the production process, the soda as a powerful base reacts to the fat acids from the oils. The product of that reaction is the soap, the glycerol and the water. In time, the water evaporates in the drying soap process (the drying lasts from 4 to 6 weeks). At the end of the procedure, before the soap goes into an appropriate mold, we add the herbs (nettle, marigold), honey, green clay, active charcoal, coffee, mineral pigments, vitamin E, natural silk, etheric oils for better soap quality, its form and enrich it with natural conservancies and anti-oxidants.

The soap, according to its chemical content, is salt. In the final product there is not even soda, nor oil, except if it leaves one percent extra oil for additional skin care. On the other hand, the glycerin as a humectant attracts water i.e. it maintains skin hydration.
